Did you know that the NHS recommends that adults should complete at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity every week?! All of our exercise courses and classes are tailored to help you achieve just that! Tel: 0118 921 6969

Pilates Classes & Courses

Pilates is series a body conditioning exercises that look to build flexibility, muscle strength and endurance. The exercises look to place emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing and developing a strong core or centre. Over the duration of our courses the progressive exercises will aim to improve your muscle tone, flexibility, posture and balance.

Monday  9:45am - 10:15am    (Pilates Taster)      £3.50 (HH member) or £4.00 (non member) per class

Circuits

Circuits is a high intensity exercise class that uses elements of aerobics and muscle strengthing activites to give you a well rounded full body workout. Everyone begins at a "station" and, after completing the exercise described there for a set amount of time, attendees will move round to the next exercise in the circuit. Circuit training is fully adaptable to the individual and a great class for those looking for variety in their exercise programme!

Boxercise

Boxercise is a popular and fast paced exercise class that is based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. Classes are suitable for both men and women of any ability and are great for burning off any excess pounds! Attendees will learn eight different punches as well as many different combinations. No class involves the direct physical hitting of an opponent, making Boxercise a fun, challenging and safe work out resulting in a leaner and fitter you!

HIIT  (High Intensity Interval Training)

The HIIT technique is a training method in which you give 100% effort through quick and intense bursts of exercise followed by short, yet active, recovery periods. This method of training is becoming more and more popular as a result of a maintained high heart rate and increased fat burning in less time!

Yoga Courses

Our yoga courses will aim to combine all of the crucial physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the yoga formula. Through the use of a series of postures and breathing exercises yoga will focus on developing your core strength and flexibility to boost both your physical and mental wellbeing, resulting in the perfect early evening workout.

Boot Camp!

Come and join in our new Boot Camp classes. These classes are focused on getting you to put as much effort in as possible. We use a whole body approach looking to burn as many calories as youcan. These sessions are 45 minutes of high intensity intervals designed to kick your metabolism into action resulting in more effective weight loss.

Zumba Gold 

Zumba Gold takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of all, including those just beginning their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba fitness-party is known for: the zesty Latin music, the exhilarating easy-to-follow moves and the invigorating party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly and fun.

Legs, Bums & Tums

Our 'Legs, Bums and Tums' class is a fun filled way to help tone those wobbly bits! This short and sharp class offers a full body aerobic workout that aims to tone up those flabby areas of your thighs, bum and stomach, great for those who want to lose weight or even for those who simply want to improve their fitness levels.

Thursday 10.00am - 10.30am       £2.70 (HH member) or £3.20 (non member) per class

          Attend Zumba Gold afterwards and get both classes for £5.80 (HH member) or £6.40

Afternoon Club (50+)

Our over 50's Afternoon Club has been running for over 15 years and offers our customers a choice or combination of badminton and table tennis all for a set charge. The club is perfect for those looking to continue or become more physically active in a highly sociable and friendy environment. To top it all off, we provide tea and coffee along with a small selection of biscuits in our viewing gallery after every session at no extra cost.

PiYo - New!

This fun and challenging low-impact workout fuses together the popular practices of Pilates and Yoga. You will burn calories, build strength, improve flexibility and have a great time doing it! A total mind-body workout that is a little different every time.

Stretch and Tone

Stretch and Tone classes involve aspects of Yoga & Pilates combined with low impact workout. Focusing on strength, muscular endurance and purposeful fitness conditioning, these classes will help to develop a strong and toned physique. An all-round total body workout.

Just Play Football

The FA supported Mars Just Play scheme gives the casual footballer of any age and ability the opportunity to just turn up and play! The sessions are perfect for those who do not want to committ to an eight month season and also for those who haven't played for years. Our sessions take place outside on our brand new 3G pitch and are fully focussed on an hour of exercise and a bit of fun!
