Woodley Town Council

The Mayor

The Town Mayor is elected annually in May by the Town Council. The Mayor presides over meetings of the Town Council and provides a figurehead for the Council in the community, attending engagements, officiating at events and acting in an apolitical way on behalf of the Council.

Councillor Sam Rahmouni was elected Mayor of Woodley at the Annual Meeting of the Town Council on 8 May 2018.

The Mayor’s chosen charity for 2018/19 is the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Reading, Wokingham & Districts.

Councillor David Stares was elected Deputy Mayor of Woodley at the Annual Meeting of the Town Council on 8 May 2018.
