The Town Council elected a new mayor at its Annual Meeting on 11 May.
Councillor Coling Lawley has taken over as the Town Mayor of Woodley from
Councillor Kay Gilder.

The Town Mayor presides as chairman at Full Council meetings and, as the
first citizen of Woodley, attends local events and visits local
organisations as well as representing Woodley at Civic and other events
outside the town. If you have an event that you would like to invite the
Town Mayor to attend please contact the Council offices.

Cllr Lawley thanked the Council for the honour of being elected Mayor and
said he would perform his duties as Mayor to the best of his abilities. He
believed that the town had a wonderful community and was looking forward to
his new role.
