The new play area in Woodford Park was opened by the Mayor - Councillor Coling Lawley on 1st June 2010. The play equipment was funded by the national Playbuilder Programme. Grounds works were carried out by the Council's Maintenance and Grounds Maintenance Teams.

This exiting new facility includes an aerial slide, basket swing, toddler swings, sand pit and the "Goat Rock". The paddling pool adjacent to the play area is also now open for the summer.
