2018 Citizen Award winners
The Town Council introduced the Citizens’ Awards in 2001, as a way of recognising the tremendous work done by the ‘unsung heroes’ of our community. There are an enormous number of people whose caring work goes unrecognised so if there is someone you know, young or old, who you feel is deserving of recognition, please complete and send in a nomination form.
Nominees could be involved in caring for children, elderly, sick or disabled people; perhaps they do voluntary work or work with young people, or are simply just a good neighbour. We have a youth category for nominees aged 19 or under. All nominations will be considered at a Council Committee meeting in January.
