Woodley Town Council

The Mayor

The Town Mayor is elected annually in May by the Town Council. The Mayor presides over meetings of the Town Council and provides a figurehead for the Council in the community, attending engagements, officiating at events and acting in an apolitical way on behalf of the Council.

In 2020, the election of the Town Mayor was delayed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Councillor Dave Mills was elected Mayor of Woodley at the Town Council meeting held on 23 June 2020.

The Mayor’s chosen charity for 2020/21 is Macmillan Cancer Support.

Councillor Anne Chadwick was elected Deputy Mayor of Woodley at the  Town Council meeting held on 23 June 2020.
