Other Community Partnerships
The Council works in partnership with many local organisations and community groups.
Community Youth Partnership
The Town Council is committed to providing and enabling services and activities for our young people. For over 25 years the Council has pursued this commitment through working parties, joint arrangements with the Borough Council and most recently the Woodley Community Youth Partnership.
The Partnership is made up of Town Councillors and representatives from voluntary organisations in the town who work with young people. Representatives from other organisations such as schools, Wokingham Borough Council community wardens and the police also attend meetings.
Woodley Adopt a Street Project (WASP)
WASP is a group of residents who care about their community and whose focus is to keep the streets of Woodley clean and tidy.
They are always looking for volunters to join them out and about in Woodley or just keeping the street they live in, footpaths or green space near their houses clean and tidy.
Volunteers can choose when and where they litter pick. It’s so easy to do and rubbish can be put out each week with the weekly rubbish collection. WASP can even supply gloves, litter pickers and bin bags.
If you’d like to volunteer please email shelagh.flower@googlemail.com or phone Woodley Town Council on 0118 969 0356 or email admin@woodley.gov.uk.
