Remembrance 2020

remembrance 2020

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions and guidelines, Woodley Town Council has taken the difficult decision to not host a Remembrance event this year.

Instead, we will be putting together a montage of photos of organisations, schools and the Town Mayor with their wreaths prior to 11/11, along with other Remembrance footage. This will be published on our website, YouTube page, Twitter feed and Facebook page in time for the 11.00am two minutes silence on 11/11.

If you would like to lay a wreath please contact Linda Matthews: Linda.matthews@woodley.gov.uk.

If you would like to send a photo with your wreath representing a charity or organisation to be included in the video, please do so by Monday 9 November 17.00 to: communications@woodley.gov.uk.

We are encouraging residents to ‘Remember at home’ while adhering to the lockdown rules, which come into effect on Thursday 5 November. Please see HERE for further information on the rules.

If you do decide to visit the Woodley Memorial to pay your respects, please can we remind you to follow the new Lockdown Guidelines. Thank you.
